T-BALL General Information

 
Who can play?  
T-Ball is for boys and girls who are 5 & 6 years old as of May 1, 2017.

When are games?  
Sundays - 9:00 to 10:00
9 weeks
 
Game dates:
April 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th
May 7th, 14th, 21st
June 4th, 11th
No games on April 16th and May 28th
 
Pre Season practice & meet with coaches: (New for 2017 season!)
Weather permitting!!
Week of March 20th & March 27th

-meet coaches and teammates
-practice hitting off tee and teach basic skills of baseball
 
When are practices?
Each team can have optional a practice during the weekday - not mandatory.

What will my child learn?  
Coaches introduce players baseball fundamentals, including proper throwing mechanics, hitting fundamentals, basic fielding skills, base running and the names and locations of field positions.

We emphasize having fun together as a team, learning positive sportsmanship, and developing players' confidence.   

How do t-ball games work?  
Players bat off a tee.  Every batter gets a hit, and advances to first base.  Innings change after all players on each team bat once.  Fielders throw hit balls to first base, and rotate field position every inning so everyone has a chance to play all positions.  Games run three innings which typically takes an hour.  No score is kept.  The rules are listed in the "Coaches information" on the NAA home page.

What do players need?  
A baseball glove and water bottle.  The team shirt and team baseball hat will be distributed at the first game.  Players are welcome to bring their own baseball bat and batting helmet.  

What about drop offs?  
Each player must have a parent (or responsible adult) present for the duration of the game. 
 
Team placement:
We try to honor team mate requests.  Please enter two names at the time of your child's registration.  The coaches draft the teams.
 
Registration fee:  $110
 

Volunteer Coaching:

If you would like to volunteer to coach a team, please enter information requested in your child's registration.  We will contact you via email to let know if you will be coaching a team on March 1st.  For each division we are looking for 2 to 3 co-coaches for each team.  We require all coaches to attend a mandatory coaches meeting.
