MINORS General Information
Who can play?
Minors division is for girls and boys who are 9 to 10 years old as of May 1, 2018.

We do not honor team mate request. The teams are drafted by the coaches following a skill assessment in hitting, throwing and catching. Your child will be placed on a team even if they can't attend the assessments.
When and Where are In-house games ?
Saturdays - Welsh Valley Middle School
9:00 to 11:00
11:00 to 1:00
When and Where are practices and/or additional games?
Monday and/or Thursday
6:00 to 8:00
Practice locations: Welsh Valley MS or Narberth Park
What do you do in practices?
Coaches develop and reinforce the major baseball fundamentals, and begin teaching team plays. Fundamental include: proper throwing mechanics, batting stance and hitting fundamentals, fielding skills, above-the-waist catching, and base running.
We emphasize having fun together as a team, learning positive sportsmanship, and developing players’ confidence in their athletic abilities.
How do games work?
The Minors Division is kid pitch. The Minors division abides by the Cal Ripken rules. The rules on listed on NAA Home page under "Coaches Information"
What do players need?
A baseball glove & water bottle. Players should wear baseball pants. Do not wear shorts - players in this division are taught to slide into the base. We recommend players wear baseball cleats, but sneakers are acceptable. The team shirt and team baseball hat are distributed at the first team practice. Players are welcome to bring their own baseball bats, batting gloves and helmets.
What about drop offs?
At this age group, each player must have a parent (or other responsible adult) present for the duration of the practice and game.
Registration fee: $ 130
If you would like to volunteer to coach a team, please enter information requested in your child's registration. We will contact you to let know if you will be coaching a team on March 1st. For each division we are looking for 2 to 3 co-coaches for each team.
